Just as we have made our mark in the theatre, we now move to deviantART, waiting patiently in the shadows until it is our time to shine!

Well, shine in the sense that the dAsphere's audience is unaware of our presence. After all, for us techies, that is our purpose.

~Techies needs a DevID!

Yes, as the title of this contest says, we need a Deviant ID!
We want you to create an ID that is based around the idea of our world of techies...what you do, how you do it, is up to you.





Send a note to ~Techies with JOIN in the subject line, and a brief description of your place in the theater. Simple enough. We only require that, upon becoming a member, you add ~Techies or to your signature or journal.
Go on, be proud of the fact that 90% of your wardrobe is black and you know for a fact that gaff tape solves all! The only criteria to be a member is that you must be active or have been active in a theater-related industry; this includes costume design, set design, production, directing, lighting / sound / electrical, acting, etc.




If you have a bit of theatre-related art stashed away in your gallery and you want it showcased on ~Techies, send us a note with DEVIATION in the subject line, and a link or links in the message. We'd love to have our members' artistic talent be known, so please, feel free to submit stuff!! At the present, we will gladly accept any submissions, provided they are theater related. This includes costume design, scripts / scenes, photographs, paintings, etc.

I simply do not have the time or the patience to keep this regularly updated. If you would like to become a co-administrator, please send me a note on my personal account and I will give you some information to bring you on board. I'd really love your help!

UPDATE (July 18th, 2005): Many thanks to ~Abhorsen88 for making his chatroom (#techieanonymous) the official chat of ~Techies! I apologize for not updating this sooner....but if you can, go and dAmn to your heart's delight.

UPDATE (June 24th, 2005): We welcome a new affiliate, ~Audiofiles, to our group today. They are a group dedicated to sound engineers, DJ's, and other technical-audio-people. Go on, give 'em a looksie.



In addition to this affiliation, we also have some pressing group issues. The group has been relatively dead as of late, and it is a sad state of affairs. Of course, I'm probably partly to blame (I haven't been around in about a week), but nevertheless, we need member support if you guys actually want to do things as a group. Though we're not a particularly big group here in the dAsphere, we still have a presence and a purpose to fulfill.

So again, I must request: if anyone has any suggestions for possible group activities (i.e., contests), let me know! Leave a comment on the page, or send me or the group a note. I'll gladly do whatever you guys want, but again, I need your help.
