Are you a techie? Can any problem be solved with gaff tape and a utility knife? Do you prefer the darkness, coming out of the wings only to assist in a life-or-death set change, or to operate the awe-inspiring fly system? Is "flat" a noun in your vocabulary? Do you labor day in and day out for the ultimate purpose of having the entire score of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat burned into your mind? Are actors complete morons?

If you answered yes to these questions, then welcome home, my techie brethren.

Just as we have made our mark in the theatre, we now move to deviantART, waiting patiently in the shadows until it is our time to shine!

Well, shine in the sense that the dAsphere's audience is unaware of our presence. After all, for us techies, that is our purpose.

~Techies needs a DevID!

Yes, as the title of this contest says, we need a Deviant ID!
We want you to create an ID that is based around the idea of our world of techies...what you do, how you do it, is up to you.





Send a note to ~Techies with JOIN in the subject line, and a brief description of your place in the theater. Simple enough. We only require that, upon becoming a member, you add ~Techies or to your signature or journal.
Go on, be proud of the fact that 90% of your wardrobe is black and you know for a fact that gaff tape solves all! The only criteria to be a member is that you must be active or have been active in a theater-related industry; this includes costume design, set design, production, directing, lighting / sound / electrical, acting, etc.




If you have a bit of theatre-related art stashed away in your gallery and you want it showcased on ~Techies, send us a note with DEVIATION in the subject line, and a link or links in the message. We'd love to have our members' artistic talent be known, so please, feel free to submit stuff!! At the present, we will gladly accept any submissions, provided they are theater related. This includes costume design, scripts / scenes, photographs, paintings, etc.
